Snow Removal Policy
  • All commercial and residential streets of the City will be cleared of snow when the accumulation is 2" or more. In case of a severe storm the city's plows will open as many streets as possible as quickly as they can.
  • Main streets and emergency routes will be opened first, residential streets next followed by lanes, cul-de-sacs, courts and then parking lots.
  • Residents are responsible for clearing their driveways. Businesses are responsible for clearing their sidewalk areas.
  • Streets that are blocked by vehicles, boats, campers, etc. of any kind, or by other obstructions such as wood, poles, machinery, etc. will not be plowed.
